MASSIVE TURN OUT AT CARONI JUMP ROPE FOR HEART FESTIVAL

The Trinidad and Tobago Alliance for Sport and Physical Education hosted a Caroni District Jump Rope For Heart Festival at the Chaguanas Regional Indoor Sporting Complex on Friday 28th May, 2010. Over three hundred and fifty students from 24 schools within the educational district participated in the festival.

 
 
The main focus of the festival was to promote healthy lifestyles and to activate some hype and tweak the interest of the students, teachers and the Ministry of Education personnel involved in the Jump Rope for Heart program at the various schools, by providing the students with an opportunity to display their various jump rope skills such as double dutch, v stop and crisscross. 
 
Sponsors of the festival included Nestle/Milo, United Way, The Australian High Commission and the Ministry of Education.
